We carry within us a centuries-old split between
spirituality and sexuality. Separating the powerful forces within us often
means we have to cut ourselves in two.
It is common to label the divided energies as a “good” or “bad”. More
often than not, sexuality is labeled with negative images and intent,
resulting in a need to repress our sexual energy. When we reject our
sexuality, we also reject our essence, life force and authentic self.
In reality, spirituality and sexuality are deeply
intertwined. Exploring sexuality as an aspect of our life force, is innately
spiritual. This work is about claiming and expressing our unique gifts.
By exploring the perceived split between
spirituality and sexuality, we will reveal negative images and intentions
that we hold in our body/mind consciousness. In using Core Energetics
approaches, including movement, bodywork and breathwork, we will release some
of the emotional, energetic and physical blocks that prevent us from
embodying our natural expression of self.
